PROMISE TO CLIENTS
Governance Matters’ style will be open and consultative from
the outset. The relationship with the client is built on
trust, these promises are, we hope you agree a meaningful
basis on which to start working together.

Clients will be provided with a clear written proposal
identifying the objectives, activities and cost for the
proposed project. In the event of subsequent material
changes, Governance Matters would submit an amended
proposal to the client for their acceptance.

To undertake diligently, impartially and honestly the work
of any project, ensuring a highly professional standard of
work at all times. Governance Matters seeks to deliver
work of practical, measurable and up-to-date value to the
client.

To respect confidential information relating to clients
activities. Governance Matters will neither disclose (nor
permit the disclosure of) nor use to their own advantage,
any confidential information without the client’s
permission.

To accept only those pieces of work which Governance
Matters is qualified and able to undertake. Should
sub-contractors be engaged to assist with the project,
Governance Matters will make every effort to ensure that
their qualifications and experience are appropriate to
undertake the work.

To accept full responsibility for maintaining effective
communications with the client. This includes supplying
appropriate written reports and documentation, as detailed
in the project proposal. Governance Matters is committed
to regular reviews of progress with the client in order to
agree schedules, priorities and/or tasks.

To actively seek feedback from the client on both the
process and outcomes of each consultancy exercise.
Governance Matters is strongly committed to learning and
continuous improvement in all areas of its activities.

To disclose to the client any personal or financial
interest or any other significant circumstances which
might influence the work.

In the event of a project falling outwith the values of
Governance Matters, to share such concerns with the client
without delay.

Where the project is supported by external funding, to
abide by the conditions of the funding body, thus enabling
the client to gain full advantage of the funding
available.

To comply with relevant client policies (eg health &
safety, environmental & ethical, quality accreditations,
equal opportunities etc)
